The woman who works the morning shift at this location, I wish I knew her name, is a legend. She's the reason why people become regulars at a coffee shop or restaurant or wherever.
We stopped in each morning during our three-day stay in E-town and by the third morning she knew what we wanted even before we ordered. That's magic! But it wasn't just us, it was a number of customers who she knew the names, faces and orders for and she did it while being polite, personable and efficient.
I think it would be a smart move for the management at Second Cup to have new "baristas" at other locations shadow her for a few days, or maybe a week, and observe how she interacts with customers. She's "old school" in her approach to customer service and "the kids" could learn so much from her.
I don't need a heart or a smiley face on my latte to make me become a regular at a coffee shop, what I want is genuine human interaction from the person serving me my coffee. -

Nice clean open space, friendly staff - I like this Second Cup. I wouldn't call the space cozy, it's almost a little clinical with all the white paint and the bright lighting, and I think it could use more seating. It is more sleek and modern than other locations however, and there is more than enough space for patrons to line up without crowding each other or people who are seated. The weekday morning barista is really nice, friendly, knows the regulars by name and drink, and went out of her way to help me find a happy level of sweetness to my vanilla latte. Very good food/treat selection too. Try the spinach & herb twist, very tasty and will keep you going past lunch. Why can't Starbucks have decent nibblies like this? A wrap or sandwich will set you back at least $7 - go next door to 7-11 instead and get one for under $5.
This location also offers Pinkberry frozen yogourt. I don't know why, and have yet to see anyone order it. Lemme know how it is if you try it. Seems like an odd random place to have frogurt. -

Ooooh shiny! This location recently went through some amazing renovations and it looks GREAT!
I'm a big fan of Second Cup in general, but don't make it downtown very often. I like this location though. It wasn't too tough to find parking at 4:25 on a Tuesday afternoon. When you walk in, you immediately notice how bright and open it is. It was lovely.
The drink quality is on par with other Second Cup locations. No complaints. I am a sucker for their rainbow butterscotch bars (or whatever they're called), so I got one of them.... also no complaints lol
The staff were friendly, and explained some new (to me) beverages that I hadn't heard of before. -

I love coming to Second Cup. I don't drink coffee but I come for tea, just a simple green tea. Therefore I can't comment on the barista's skills since pouring water on a cup and placing a tea bag doesn't require much.
At the time I ordered my tea there wasn't anyone else waiting so my tea was ready right away. There is plenty of seating available, including a few couches to make it more comfortable :-)
The music is not too loud so you will be able to have a conversation without the need to be loud.
In general, a good location to get and enjoy your drink :) -

Extremely kind and accommodating staff! I had a bit of a unique situation where I had scheduled a meeting with several other people, not realizing they closed at 7:00pm. The staff was so sweet and offered to stay open a bit longer for us. I would never expect it to happen again, but it was such a special gesture and we were all very appreciative. Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience!
